1991 - 1994 Legal internship in Bremen, Rostock and Hamburg, second state law examination
1994 - 1999 Legal advisor at a law firm in Rostock and Berlin, and research assistant at the University of Rostock
1998 Completed doctorate in law (Dr. iuris) at the University of Rostock
1999 - 2003 Professor of German, European and international corporate law at Harz University of Applied Sciences
2003 - 2016 Vice-chancellor of Harz University of Applied Sciences
2008 - 2016 President of the Sachsen-Anhalt State Vice-Chancellors’ Conference
Since 2016 State secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Science and Digitalisation
