  • 1991 Awarded a doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) at Humboldt University, Berlin for his dissertation entitled: “Development of measuring instruments based on linear laser absorption spectrometry for sensitive molecular gas concentration measurement in terms of their use for environmental control.”
